Baby chicks

I love Maggie's daycare! Actually I have been very pleased with all of Maggie's daycare providers. In school they had eggs in an incubator and have been learning about hatching and how that works. Today the baby chicks "arrived". Funny story- so the baby chicks never hatched and they were past their hatching date so they went to the feed store and bought 4 baby chicks so the kids could enjoy them. The baby chicks "hatched" during nap time! The kids were in awe and so excited to learn.

On another note -They also made bird feeders and have been watching all the birds come and eat the food. I love that Maggie is happy!

Happy Birthday Maggie

We had a big surprise for our big girl!
I asked Maggie what she wanted to do for her birthday and she said she wanted to go to the beach. Little did she know I have had her birthday planned out for MONTHS. Besty, Scott and Jack met us in California for the fun. We drive to Aunt Kelli's house (the girls were so sad she was not there) arrived late on the 7th. On her Birthday I gave her a big box and had her open it all up. She got tons on Minnie Mouse stuff and she was happy. I asked her where we should take all the stuff and she said the beach. I said, "let's take it to Disneyland instead". She gave a simple answer of "okay". She didn't really know what was in store for her so I'm guessing that is why she was not very surprised or excited.
We separated for half the day so we could do our "girl" thing. We did California Adventure and went to Ariel's Grotto to have lunch and meet all the princesses. Maggie was so happy. It was a great birthday.

I love this face!

The best part was when I over heard Zoey talking to Maggie about half way through the day.
Maggie- That was so fun
Zoey- Maggie just wait! This is the fake Disneyland. When we go to the "real" Disneyland you will have sooooooo much more fun.

Another funny moment was when asked Maggie how her birthday was
Me- Maggie how was your Birthday?
Maggie- Not very good (with a sad face)
Me- How come?
Maggie- Because Aunt Kelli and Uncle Dave and Kirk and Alana were not here!

Guess it's not the same without her favorite people!

Day 2 was at the REAL Disneyland and we did the first half of the day by ourselves so we could do the "girl" stuff. Then we met up with Besty, Scott and jack. Maggie and Jack are so funny together! Maggie and jack pester each other like siblings. Maggie is rough and is always making Zoey cry...I was happy to find that Maggie met her perfect match. Maggie would reach her arm out of the stroller so she could grab onto Jack's stroller. Betsy was not very good at keeping the strollers away. :)

On Saturday we went to the Davis' and swam. After a nice swim we hit the road so we could be home in time for Mother's day.

It was a great weekend and we loved every minute of it.

Cheers for a YEAR full of Disney fun! Zoey can't wait to do her birthday at Disneyland!
Here is a picture of Haliey, Zoey and me on Splash Mountain. This was Zoey's first time and she was shaking the entire time in anticipation of the big drop.
