Today

We went to my new BFF citrus farm. It was great they have a store where they sell to the public. We saw the bees making honey. Zoey thought it was great. She got to stand on the counter and look at them up close! Maggie liked hanging out with Dani and trying to grab all the fruit. Zoey stole the sample bowl of chips and kept them all to herself. We ended up buying some yummy salsa. Costco is trying to buy their salsa to sell it in Arizona! So you can just imagine how good it is!

Then we went to the farmers market in Gilbert. It was small but still something to do. Zoey got a Watermelon honey stick and Brit got some Baklava.

Last but not least we had Jimmy John's. Ahhh it was so yummy! I LOVE their sandwiches!

Now, I am watching Zoey eat popcorn while watching her favorite movie Mama Mia. Brit is getting a hair cut and Maggie is sleeping. And I am off to find some deals on couponsence. Then do my favorite activity of all grocery shopping! (No really! I love grocery shopping!)

The female body is AMAZING

This post is really just an interesting thought that made me reflect on God's creations. How he made it possible for me to bare a child is one of the best gifts I have ever had. AND yes I said gift not punishment. In the moment pregnancy might be uncomfortable but man oh man it is a surreal experience. Breastfeeding is another experience that I have a love/hate relationship with. Anyway, if you are a conservative person this post might be a little TMI for you.
On 2/9 I thought about weening Maggie but made no set plans because free food is...free food. On 2/12 I knew I did not have enough milk for the coming week and decided that I needed to either (a) ween Maggie or (b)add more pumping sessions into my schedule. On 2/14 I made the decision to ween her and told the babysitter. That day I remember not producing the normal amount of milk in my pumping session. I figured it was because I did it at an earlier time than usual so I didn't think much about it. 2/15 I made sure I pumped at the right time but same thing happened, not a lot of milk. 2/16 did my pumping session a little later than usual and got a normal amount of milk. 2/17 only fed Maggie on one side to ensure that I would be full for pumping. I produced a normal amount of milk... I thought I would be so sore and weening would be painful. Skipping a feeding session was something I learned NOT to do. I thought it would be hard to stop. Boy, was I wrong! When nature takes it course there is no stopping it! Needless to say this weening process is going great. I feed Maggie in the morning before I leave for work, I pump once at work, and feed her right before bed. She is on formula and solids for everything else and enjoying every minute of it. I am happy I did not dry up because I really do love feeding her.

I am still happy with the decision that I made with Zoey to do all formula. I needed my body back to myself. I needed the freedom. I needed others to be able to feed her without having them depend on me. I had Zoey at a time where I don't think I could have appreciated nursing as much as I do with Maggie. With Zoey being a Mom was new and scary; with Maggie it was a handful but comfortable. Each time I've had a child it has been different. However, it has been the same wonderful experience of being a MOM.

Here's to not wearing a BRA to bed!!! Cheers!!!

New found friend

I found a new friend. For me it's hard to find one that is in the same boat, shares my views, is fun to hang around, lives near by, and is about my age. I'm excited to explore this new relationship and think that we will be "besties"! The other day we had an emotional bond that I think will open new doors for us. And when we went to lunch we had loads of fun in under and hour...Can't wait till be have a whole night... Super excited to be buds!

Best SPOUSE ever!

Words cannot describe my weekend. Brit did a great job this year at Valentine's Day! He got Booty to watch the girls for the night. Friday he picked me up from work and took me to an AMAZING resort in Scottsdale, InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa. He took me to dinner at Houston's (my new favorite restaurant). The food was to die for and it was soooooooooooo savory.
The night was so perfect and relaxing. I enjoyed 2 baths and 2 pool dips in less then 24 hours!

We both came to a conclusion that Paradise Valley was accurately named. We were at the pool at 9:30 in the morning basking in the BEAUTIFUL Arizona sun in FEBRUARY!!! REALLY?! Did I mention we LOVE Arizona?! We do!
Here is to 6 years and MANY MANY MORE! Thanks Brit you did a wonderful job! I love you!

On Valentine's Day he bought me roses, picked me up from work, took me to my favorite lunch spot, and we took in a show all before we had to pick up the girls.
Brit you get an A++ this year!

School SUCKS!

I hated school when I was in it myself but I HATE it even more having a child in school. Homework sucks, teachers suck, bullies suck and bad behavior sucks! This is staring to turn my thoughts against having a 3rd kid.

Maggie 9 month stats

Maggie is a cute petite little girl!
Height 27 inches
Weight 17.12 lbs
Head 17 inches
She is 25-50% in everything

She just popped 3 more teeth... She has 7 sharp chompers!
Up till this week I have been 100% breastfeeding her but with her new additions I might be weening her...

She is really fast at crawling and it is crazy. Everytime I turn around she is either out the back door letting the dogs lick her, in the freezer or fridge(someone is always in the fridge), or heading to the stairs...Oh man she is all over the place.
