Celebrating 26 years

For my Birthday we went to Little Italy and I enjoyed a tasty croissant for Breakfast and Zoey has a brownie for breakfast. Then we went to the Mormon Battalion which was followed up by the beach. The new an improved Mormon Battalion it was awesome!

Fun at the beach on my birthday even though I HATE sand! It gets everywhere!

Just imagine what my car looked like after this! I then did a bit of homework, we got a babysitter, and went out for dinner. We waited 2 hours in line for some yummy barbecue. I had ribs and thought they were delicious. However, the barbecue coniseur/snob that I call my husband said that it was JUST alright. It must be because he had to wait in line the whole time while I only waited for 30 mins. In the end the food and the company was delightful on my birthday!

San Deigo

We headed to San Diego with Brit to visit the other Millers. I got some more of my favorite Rainbows. Maggie had her first visit to Legoland for a quick hour while Brit shopped. This is what we did at the Miller's when we were home. Zoey loved the Geo Tracks

Saratoga Springs

After Cedar we headed up North to visit Katie (Pitt) Bennett. The drive went well minus the speeding ticket I got in Beaver! Dang it! Even though I was mad I had to keep my cool because for the next 30 minutes Zoey asked all sorts of questions about police officers.
Z- Mom why did the police office pull you over?
M- Because I had an "oh so sad" moment
Z- What did you do?
M- I was driving too fast
Z- why were you driving too fast?
M- Because I didn't obey the rules
Z- What rules?
M- The speed limit
Z- Why is there a Speed limit?
M- So we don't get hurt

2 minutes later
Z- Do you like police officers?
M- Yes, because they keep us safe like firefighters
Z- When I grow up I want to be a police officer
M- How come?
Z- Because I get to wear a cool clothes

I think I did a good job of keeping my cool...Zoey still thinks police officers are good!

Once we got to Katie's we mainly hung out at home while the kids played with fishing poles..

We attempted the park but it was SUPER windy and hot. On one day we made it to "Jump on it" a place that just has tons of trampolines

It was fun for the kids but after a few close calls of injures we left. On another day we went to the splash park and visited Steve and Val. On one of the nights Maggie managed to sleep through the night (8pm-5am) lets hope this happens often!
