It's official!!!

We are having a GIRL! The news instentely put Zoey into tears because she wanted a boy. I guess she knows it means compitition and someone will be stealing her princess dresses...And all of her clothes. I advised her she was better off because boys are gross but it didn't make her feel any better.

Too Funny

"Mommy my tummy hurts. I need to go poo poo but my bum is too small".

A great wake up call

Zoey woke us up on Saturday and wanted to play. Jacob and Gabby were still sleeping so it was either I wake up or Zoey would wake up Jacob and Gabby. Surprisingly enough I was not tired and was fine with waking up. We went in her room where she made me tea, chicken nuggets and a PB&J. My options were to eat my breakfast or I could go to bed. I opted to go to bed and as I started to lay down and cover up in Zoey's bed she grunted and said, " OH Mom, this is an oh so sad moment". She kissed me and then the baby and said, "Try not to worry about it". This lasted about 30 seconds and then she wanted me to be a happy girl and play with her more. I obliged.

We then noticed that one of her fish was rather large, I think it is pregnant, and that her snails like to "sit on top" of each other...What in the world is going on in that fish tank!

Our Saturday was filled with shopping, shopping and more shopping. Zoey and Brit only agreed to come if they got to go to the Lego store. I was all for it because it meant that I would get to shop with no interruptions!

Lastly, I am a horrible friend! I told my BFF that I would help with her husbands surprise party. I agreed to pick up the cake, help decorate and anything else that she needed. I agreed to be there at 7pm. The surprise was set for 7:30pm. However, I did not show up till she called at 9pm. I felt so retarded! I grabbed a cake, Brit wrote Happy Birthday with instant frosting, and bought candles. When we showed up I realized I did not bring matches and the place we were at only had an electric stove. No one had matches so we improvised to get the candles lit. After the cake was served it was time to clean up. I have to say thanks to my friend because she never panicked. I hate being so forgetful, tell me again what it is necessary for a pregnant woman to be forgetful?

I made an amazing BLT Tuesday and we had them again today because they were so yummy. It is from the cooking light magazine and they call them the "grown up grilled cheese" but I think it's a fancy BLT with cheese.
I made a few changes the second time around and it worked much better. I would recommend cutting the spinach so it is easier to eat. I also did cheese in between the layers to help them stay together. For a quick and easier clean up I used the panini machine instead of in a pan. It's super yummy and you wont be disappointed!

Ingredients (makes 4 sandwiches)
Cooking spray
1 cup vertically sliced red onion
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded reduced-fat sharp white cheddar cheese (such as Cracker Barrel)
8 (1 1/2-ounce) slices hearty white bread (such as Pepperidge Farm)
2 cups fresh spinach leaves
8 (1/4-inch-thick) slices tomato
6 slices center-cut bacon, cooked
1. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add 1 cup onion and garlic; cook for 10 minutes or until tender and golden brown, stirring occasionally.

2. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons cheese over each of 4 bread slices. Top each slice with 1/2 cup spinach, 2 tomato slices, 2 tablespoons onion mixture, and 1 1/2 bacon slices. Sprinkle each with 2 tablespoons cheese; top with the remaining 4 bread slices.

3. Heat skillet over medium heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Place sandwiches in pan, and cook for 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cheese melts.

A Prayer Answered

My faith has been recognized today. I had another ultrasound to check on the status of my placenta praevia. This last month I have been praying and praying for hope, relief, patients, and understanding. And today my prayers have been answered. My placenta is on the move! It is no longer covering my cervix and it will only get further away as the baby(or my belly) grows. My faith has been tested once again through this trial. Satan defiantly knows my weaknesses and was thinking he could crush me at such a vulnerable time. However, My big brother has stepped in and is defending me while Satan picks on me. I am so grateful for the sacrifice that Christ took on for me. I know that he helps me daily and I know that our relationship will only grow stronger when I rely on him.
Thank You for your prayers!

Brit is Awesome!

I know many will agree with me on that statement(I know B and J will). I am grateful to have a spouse who is on the same page as me...most of the time(just kidding. I had an experience today that made me realize that I LOVE BRIT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH MORE THAN I THOUGHT. I mean I am 100% in love with the man but I am grateful that he is who he is nothing more or less. I love the fact that he loves me just as much as I love him. I appreciate his talent as an artist so that I don't have to draw princess pictures all day long. I appreciate that he has a Lego hobby so he can be happy and busy and I don't have to hear the background noise of the TV when I do homework. I appreciate his knowledge of the gospel so that when I start explaining a story he can finish it correctly for me. I appreciate the fact that he does all the dishes, cooks dinner, cleans the house, does the laundry, and keeps Zoey in line when I don't have the energy. AND I really appreciate that he dedicated and willing to be a good parent!

So yeah he really is Awesome and best of all he is mine through all eternity!

A weekend with the other Miller's

Fun Fun Boys all around! There were tons of Geo tracks and lots of craziness. The boys and Zoey toured the Midway while Ashlee and I went shopping and enjoyed a trip to See's candy. We played scramble and enjoyed homemade hot fudge! YUM YUM!

Who is special

Zoey- The kids at preschool hit me
Me- Why?
Zoey- Because I'm special
Me- Why are you and not them?
Zoey-Because Heavenly Father and Jesus made me

We had to have a lesson on what Heavenly Father and Jesus makes...
Moms and Dads, animals, plants, trees, Charity, and friends
Zoey learned that Man makes toys, houses, cars, gates, walls, chairs, and refrigerators(she came up with all those)!

She was shocked to know that DADDY was a baby and that Grammy Miller had him in her belly. I swear we have talked about this before but I guess she was not listening. Or it just clicked today due to the baby in my belly because today it rang loud and clear. She now knows that she will grow up and need to have babies before she can be a mom. Lets just hope she dosen't want to be a mom too soon! I hope that talk will come much later!
In the words of Zoey, "Zoey is SPECIAL!"

Zoey in School...Ahhh

January is the beginning of sign ups for schools. Through investigation and parent response Cortina public school will be my last option.
Here are my thoughts...
Ben Franklin, not an option for Kindergarten because they are only 1/2 day (big bummer. However, I will try to get Zoey enrolled for 1st grade!
ASU Polytechnic- #1 choice at the moment..enrollment is pending. Very good school will be able to get Zoey ready for Ben Franklin's 1st grade. Close to home.

I am shocked that I am going through this process. I feel like I just brought her home from the hospital. My BABY is growing up!

Pregnancy Forgetfulness

I some how went through Testimony meeting and my students commenting on fasting when I gave them a treat. Yet it did not dawn on me that it was Fast Sunday till my friend said, "It's fast Sunday" 3 hours after church. Whoops!

I popped this last week so I had to bust out the maternity clothes. It's not fun or very exciting because I don't have any winter clothes. If I have to spend any more money on fat clothes that I will wear for 6 months I am going to die! I am tring to squeeze into my fatter clothes for a few more weeks but I don't think it is going to last very long!
*It's a good thing I lost 20lbs before I got prego because now I have a few extra things to wear.

A great playdate

Zoey had a friend over on Saturday and they played for hours! During this time I got a list of things done that have been waiting for months.

I cleaned the baseboards for the entire downstairs(Brit was a great help but he took the easy stuff over the carpet). This has not been done since we moved in but I have been telling myself for the last 2 years to do it. So, instead I decided to do this nasty chore 5 months pregnant. BTW I will pay someone to do this next time.

I swept and mopped the floor and they look sparkling clean!
Christmas is all packed away.

Diana, Scotty, Jacob and Gabby are going to be staying at our place for a month or two so I finished getting both rooms and closets in order. That was a chore because they were both storage closets. Somethings invaded the Lego room closet to Brit's dismay!

We put the crib together.
Brit moved his old car back into the garage.
I cleaned out Zoey's toys.

I sold my stroller on craigslist for a successful $75. I only paid $125 and used it for 3 years I thought it was a great sell!

I even managed to put a "craft" together for the girls(that they requested). I drew an outline of a snowman and let them fill it in with cotton balls and glue. Then they colored the top hat and sides. Once the girls started to insult each other about their coloring I decided that they had a little too much playtime together. Brit was so annoyed with Zoey trying to control Charity and said, "Girls are so different than boys". After the craft I took Charity home but was grateful for the useful playtime.
